Ok so you have an amazing dress, fabulous flowers and your tiara is stunning, what options do you have for your veil?
The answer is LOADS!!!
There are 2 styles of wearing your veils one is high on top of your head so the top layer can be worn over the face (or not) and the other is at the back of the head often tucked under an 'up do'.
It is important to think of the way in which you will be wearing your veil when you choose the length as wearing it lower down your head will make it appear longer then if you wear it high on top. When a veil is referred to by length it is total of the bottom and top layer ie a 72" veil has a 44" bottom layer and a 28" top layer. There are full details at the bottom of this page.
There is also a choice of how the veil is attached to the comb, it can be attached flat with no gather so it sits very smooth to the head, there can be a half gather adding a very slight fullness or a full gather which gives volume. A half gather is the most common method but all 3 look great.
Another consideration is the colour. Your veil should either match your dress or be a huge contrast if that is the look you want. A white dress with an ivory veil makes the veil look very grubby. I have included a colour chart on this page.
Many veils are 2 layers but there is also the option to have 1 layer, 3 layers or even more, at Simply Brides you can specify your exact requirements and have something totally bespoke. My featured veils are made of tulle but if you want something really special why not up-grade to a silk tulle veil? They are a little more expensive but the hang and movement is stunning.
